This month we’ve been shifting from ad-centered entertainment blogs to more product-focused websites — something we’ve been considering for a while now.
Creating our own products should ensure longevity and diversify our income stream in the web space.
We are getting our feet wet with a mixture of a ad/product centered site which we’ll be posting shortly.
Things are going steady this year. Next month we’ll be going through our web domain inventory. Some we’ll be letting go, others we’ll be adding.
So far we have about 15 blogs in circulation. We are still working on about two new blogs are are revamping another.
Our goal is to add more blogs to our live inventory this year.
We’re in this race for the long run. Keep you posted!
This week we have been gradually employing a new comment system, Disqus, to the majority of our web properties. We are currently trying to import past comments into the new system.
Disqus is a global comment system that improves discussion on websites and connects conversations across the web.
Based in downtown San Francisco, Disqus has been improving online discussions since 2007.
We’re a small but growing group of bright, talented people who are passionate about making online conversations great. Disqus is used by over half a billion people across some of the largest sites on the web.
This week we’re working on a new web property and it’s quite different from our “norm.”
We are currently testing the waters with a new blog site about skateboarding. The site is mostly made up of skater videos fetched from popular online video sources such as Youtube, Vimeo, Daily Motion and Metacafe. We also provide a small commentary for each post.
Skateboard enthusiasts will hopefully find the site a convenient place to view as many skateboard videos as they can handle.
As with most of our web properties, the site will be updated frequently for an indefinite time.
